Records, not a portfolio
A portfolio shows the finished room. This archive shows what was under it. Each record carries the base condition, the decisions taken while the surface was still open, and the latest state we photographed, in that order.
That produces some pages that do not end with a beautiful room. Two of them stop at site preparation, one is a two-photo field note from the middle of an installation. They are published as what they are, because an archive that only shows finished floors leaves out the part a client is actually paying for.
How to read one
The residential records are the ones to read if you are choosing for a house: room-to-room continuity, two tones in one property, a curved staircase. The commercial ones answer a different question, about phasing, cart traffic and buildings that keep working while the work happens.
Where a photograph does not support a claim, the text says so instead of filling the gap. No before-and-after pair is presented unless both frames are the same space.
